Al Gore served as Vice President from 1993-2001, and lost in the 2000 Presidential election to George W. Bush. Long an environmental activist, his book Earth in the Balance being published before his tenure as Vice President, Gore has taken up Global Warming as his cause du jour since leaving public office. Following his error-riddled documentary An Inconvenient Truth, Gore has also become the de facto spiritual leader of the Global Warming cult.

“Let me add if I could briefly. As Van [Jones] said, it’s the intersection of dirty energy and dirty money. And we can’t forget it’s creating dirty weather because the extreme climate events that the scientific community has been telling us are connected to global warming are getting worse. We had 12 events last year here in the U.S. that cost more than a billion dollars that were connected to climate. And it’s getting worse.

And now, we have this extensive drought in big areas of the country, dramatic floods, stronger storms — completely consistent with what people have been predicting. And I know that there are lot of people that say, ‘ah, don’t talk about that because that – you know – people roll their eyes.’ Well this is our future.”

“They pay pseudo-scientists to pretend to be scientists to put out the message: This climate thing, it’s nonsense. Man-made CO2 doesn’t trap heat. It may be volcanoes. Bullshit! It may be sun spots. Bullshit! It’s not getting warmer. Bullshit!”

Al Gore

“I remember when I was young, a young teenager growing up part of the time in the South, and I remember when my generation saw the fire hoses being turned on African-Americans and all of the resistance to the Civil Rights movement. And young people asked their parents in that era, “Explain to me again why it’s okay to have legal discrimination on the basis of skin color.” And when they could not answer that moral question coming straight from the conscience of young people, that’s when the laws began to change.

And you need to ask, “Tell me again why it’s alright to put 90 million tons of global warming pollution into the atmosphere every 24 hours, 20 percent of it will still be there in 20,000 years from now.” You need to ask that question and other related questions. Don’t they see the evidence? Don’t they hear what the scientists are saying? Do they actually believe this line from the large carbon polluters that the scientists are making this up, committing fraud in order to get research grants?

Give me a break. They are trying to kill us, too.”
